THE WOLF PACK
THE STRENGTH OF THE PACK
The Venice High School girls’ team, AKA “The Wolf Pack,” adopts a unique approach inspired by Wolf Pack Theory. The theory emphasizes interdependence and collective strength, mirroring the traits of wild wolves. Their connection to the universe and mutual gratitude are distinctive, fostering an inspiring team spirit. This unorthodox method has led them to become City Champions for the first time in the school’s centennial history.
Forever the underdogs, their greatest challenge will be to beat “the school on the hill” their arch-rivals who literally look down on the Venice community. Palisades Charter High is an affluent and predominantly white team that stands between Venice and their long sought-after State Championship.

Her dedication to her family, particularly in caring for her younger sister while their undocumented parents worked tirelessly, is a testament to her strength and selflessness.

A LEGACY OF BATTLES
Chaka Forman, the guide of the Venice High Girls team and VBFC coach, inherits a rich legacy of activism. Son of Civil Rights hero, James Forman, Chaka’s coaching philosophy is deeply influenced by principles of unity and collective reliance, based on Wolf Theory.
